Welcome to Online Admissions:
The Online Admissions application allows parents/carers of children starting the Reception class at Primary School and for those transferring from Year 6 at primary school to secondary school to apply online.

Reception Class admission – children born between 1st September 2009 and 31st August 2010 will start School in September 2014.
Transfer to Secondary School – children currently in Year 6, born between 1st September 2002 and 31st August 2003 will transfer to Secondary School in September 2014.
HOW DO I APPLY?
PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS SYSTEM IF YOU ARE NOT A BURY RESIDENT.
You can create an account, add your child(ren) to the account and add up to 3 school preferences. Once the preferences have been created and submitted, they are available for the Local Authority to view. At the end of the Admissions application period, the Local Authority will begin allocating school places to children (based on the information supplied in their preferences), in accordance with the published oversubscription criteria.
To begin using Online Admissions, create an account using the 'Create new user Account' link which can be found on the upper left side of this page. To return after creating an account, use the 'Log In' link which can also be found on the upper left side of this page.
There is no need to complete a paper application once you have submitted an online application.
COMPLETING THE ONLINE FORM:
You will be asked to input your details through a series of easy to follow screens.
If you wish to apply for schools outside Bury, these should be included on this form. Please do not include independent schools on the form, you should approach these directly.
You may return to and amend your application as many times as you wish up until the deadline but please note that once you have clicked the 'Submit' button at the end of the application process, you may not amend your preference selections online. Please make sure you submit your application before the deadline date (see timetable below).
Once the application has been submitted you will need to contact the Admissions Team at email@example.com or on 0161 253 6474 if you wish to make any changes.
Your password must be at least 8 characters in length and contain at least 1 character from each of the following groups:
- Uppercase letters (A-Z)
- Lowercase letters (a-z)
- Digits (0-9)
- Special Characters (! $ % ^ & * () ; : @ # ~ etc.)
An example of an acceptable password would be: "Bury1234!"
2014 Primary Admissions Timetable:
Reception Admissions (Pupils born between 01/09/2009 - 31/08/2010)
• Apply from - 19th August 2013
• Deadline for applications is 14th January 2014
• Emails will be sent on 16th April 2014 after 2pm.
2014 Transfer to Secondary School Timetable:
Secondary School Admissions (Pupils born between 01/09/2002 - 31/08/2003)
• Apply from - 19th August 2013
• Deadline for applications is 31st October 2013 (Applications submitted after this date will be treated as late)
• Emails will be sent on 3rd March 2014 after 2pm.
For your Information:
Online applications will be treated in exactly the same way as a paper application received by post, with the additional benefit of you receiving an email acknowledgement of your application and finding out your result at least a day earlier.
